Jeremy Nathaniel Moody, 14, of 814 Oakley Ave., Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his home. Jeremy was a very loving child.

Jeremy, a native of Roanoke Rapids, was a rising freshman at Roanoke Rapids High School. Jeremy loved hunting, fishing and bike riding.

He is survived by his parents, David and Kaye Moody of the home; his maternal grandmother, Lois Rogers of Roanoke Rapids; his aunt, Becky Bowen of Durham; his uncles, Mike Selle and Mark Moody, both of Roanoke Rapids; cousins, Justin Moody, Kelly Moody and Heather Bowen; and his special brother, Jason Slauzis.

Graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, and other times at the home.
